Sixth Sense

Sixth Sense is a wearable navigational aid and app co-designed with visually impaired people to improve their freedom of travel.

It combines hazard detection with a mobile app to keep you on course to your destination, whilst alerting you to things in your environment.

Sixth Sense pairs perfectly with the white cane. It is designed to detect roadblocks above ground level whilst also being controllable via verbal commands, so you can keep your hands free for anything life throws at you.

Our Vision

Give visually impaired people the independence and confidence to decide when and where they go.

How Does It Work?

Step Safely

  • Reliable and accurate obstacle detection, for all objects, in all conditions, with no false alerts

  • Reporting direction and distance of sensed hazards through tunable haptic and audio alerts

  • Open space (point to point) navigation, via suite of on-board hardware sensors – no need for signal / line of sight

Enjoy the Journey

  • Hand free GPS with superior location accuracy and improved orientation sensing

  • Turn-by-turn route navigation via Bluetooth with mobile App – pause and start, repeat and silence – no need to carry a mobile in hand

  • Single, comfortable wearable format with no trailing wires, extra battery or external computer
